Ah man, you need to come back to London and see what's available these days.
The UK has some of the very best restaurants in the world these days. In fact there was a big piece of research published last year about the quality of British food and ingredients that so upset the French that questions were raised in their parliament about their falling food standards relative to ours
Of course there are still some dodgy places around but it's a very different world from where it was even 5 years ago.
My experience with English food was in the countryside ... except that Italian restaurant, where they had as many waiters as patrons.
Haha, yeah it'll be a new experience for me, but I have a lot of "dominoes" that will be falling in my life within the next year that will keep me busy. If everything goes according to plan (which, hey, definitely no guarantee it will by any means), she should be arriving soon after I've achieved a few things I've been working towards for six or seven years now - settling into a new career and place to live (hopefully somewhere I can hold louder jam sessions than I can here at my apartment in Chicago

- Birdseye Maple Fretboard with Ebony Dots and Black Hardware (There is a chance I will go with Ebony Fretboard with Abalone Dots and Gold Hardware)
- Either 22 or 24 frets (this will depend on pickup placement, when slapping I like to strike just behind the fretboard, sometimes the 24 Fret/Dual Coil combo feels a little cramped on my MS4 Special. Plus, since its a Bolt-on, I'm not really sure I would make use of the two extras anyway)
I think thats it? Aesthetically, she will essentially be a mix/some combination of the three attached instruments (the icon showing me turning the sound off before I took the screen shot is a dead giveaway I'm TB'ing somewhere I shouldn't be

It's normally a 3 piece necks on custom models. Not sure you can save money by getting a 1 piece neck. Great specs
Very similar to what I play. I have a 5 string monarch, alder body, curly walnut top, birds eye maple board, maple neck. Congratulations!!!
Laughing very hard at myself. I just looked at the pics you posted and the middle one IS my bass!! The only difference is that I have since added a ramp to match the top.

First instincts are usually best, fwiw.
I think final fret access has more to do with the lower cutaway than whether it's bolt-on or not. I don't think the neck joint poses that much of a problem for most players.
You should be... trust me.

After talking to the tone whisperer (nick name credit to lake effect), I just settled on a 33" 6 string emperor, flame maple top, sd duals no holes, bolt on, ebony fb, abalone, small frets, alder body, modern 3x3 headstock, 17.5mm, narrow nut, 24 frets. Interestingly, we discussed ergonomics more than tone.

You make a good point with the first instincts, best not to overthink things too much.
I'll have it strung B-G for the most part, especially if I'm still jamming with the same guys I play with in a year when I take delivery. If things change, I may reconsider, I like E-C a lot too.
For most players you're probably right about the upper fret access, but I struggle getting to them on my B.O. Monarch 4 sometimes. Really I just need to decide if I prefer those occasional notes or the extra space to slap. I find myself thinking about the space issue more frequently than I think about using those last two frets, so that may be my answer right there.
