Fodera Yin-Yang Standard Wait Support Group

I actually do not remember #4 very well (sorry to its eventual owner). We finished the first two on the same day and each had its own personality...similar obviously, being made from the same materials and at the same time, but individual. I remember both of them as being really great examples of what an EMG-equipped Fodera should sound, feel and play like.

Because these were the very first two (after the prototypes that we finished in January) I do remember them as individual instruments quite well...

Is it better than, say, #4?

I've played #4, and it's so good that there's no way #2 could sound better. So buy with confidence, whoever you may be.

It is the same lamination that we use on all of our basses...it is called Anigre. The black painted with multiple coats of Catalyzed Acrylic Lacquer...

J

Is the black strip between the body and top an ebony lam? How is the black paint on the top protected, what is the finish?

I think im gonna have to buy one of these they are too cool.. even though i only played it for a few minutes i hope its worth it..

the truth is i want a monarch classic but this bass is definitely a less expensive "fodera" albeit still at almost 5k lol

I wonder when the 30-60 batch will be finished?...

#'s 30-60 are already sold out. We are presently taking orders for 61-90 which will be delivered starting January 2012 and we will deliver roughly 10 per month. That said, some of our Dealers still have availability from the first 60...thanks for the kinds words!

I just got the magic email.. Balance for #8 is due and payable.....and on the way.

Jason we have to meet in person one of these days. I am thinking of stopping by to discuss new pups/circuit on my emporer deluxe as it is my third EMG PJ Fodera..... and i want to show my Bruce Johnson scroll bass to you guys.....

I wasted no time in getting #2 under the lights. It showed up Friday at 7:00pm and I had a gig at 9:00pm. I opened the box, took it out of the case, wrapped my hands around the neck and instantly fell in love. I feels like a $1,000,000! It's everything that I could ever want in a bass.

Superb neck and set up. I have never played a bass with action this CRAZY low with no buzz.

The sound is beautiful. Crisp, clear, modern, punchy, articulate, dynamic, yet very even all around the neck. The preamp is extremely active in fact I enjoyed the sound best with the preamp just set flat. My sound man also loved it! He commented on how easily he was able to get a great sound out front. He said that he was actually able to turn the bass up louder in the mix because of it! I like that.

The bass looks amazing. Incredible fit and finish. It's carved beautifully and feels so smooth yet so solid. I'm telling people in the bar about my new bass, like the one that Victor Wooten plays and they say, "who"? Are you kidding me!?

I also had a gig on Sat. and it performed as well or even better because I am starting to get more used to it.

My wife asked me if I could ever find 1 bass that would be my only bass.............is she nuts? Well, this bass could actually be it. Feel, Sound, and Looks, I can't ask for anything more.

Thank you Fodera for making this bass and selling it to me! I can't wait for this weekend.......2 more gigs....can you tell I'm excited?

If you're not on the wait list, I suggest you get on it. I have many expensive basses. Sadowsky, Ken Smith, Lakland and others. My Fodera Yin Yang Standard is like a lovely mix of all my favorite features of all of my other basses, all in one. You will not be disappointed.

Great Story!!! I've been GASsing for one since I saw them... hopefully, if all goes well, I can get one next year...:bassist::bassist::bassist:

Thanks so much for the incredibly kind words. After years of thinking about these, tinkering with design and going through the prototype process it is so great to be getting these out into the World!! Enjoy and know that a lot of love has gone into making them. This week we will ship 7, 8 and 9 and next week 10 & 11...

Regards,

J

P.S. Sometimes it makes sense to cross-post in the Fodera Club Forum as not everyone there checks this thread...

I would imagine that with the weather as hot as it is, if it's ready to ship today we'll do it, if not, we will wait til Monday as we don't want to risk anything being "in transit" over the weekend...

Jason when can i expect number 8???? Shipping to my office

That is correct. #1-10 are $5,750 and thereafter they are $4,750. #1-10 also happened to be signed by a pretty cool player named Victor Wooten. REAL signatures, not decals...we did them on the back plates so that people could choose to keep it on the bass, or not, as they see fit...

J

For serial numbers 1 through 10, the price is $5750.
