Is it better than, say, #4?

I actually do not remember #4 very well (sorry to its eventual owner). We finished the first two on the same day and each had its own personality...similar obviously, being made from the same materials and at the same time, but individual. I remember both of them as being really great examples of what an EMG-equipped Fodera should sound, feel and play like.
Because these were the very first two (after the prototypes that we finished in January) I do remember them as individual instruments quite well...
Is the black strip between the body and top an ebony lam? How is the black paint on the top protected, what is the finish?
I think im gonna have to buy one of these they are too cool.. even though i only played it for a few minutes i hope its worth it..
the truth is i want a monarch classic but this bass is definitely a less expensive "fodera" albeit still at almost 5k lol
I wonder when the 30-60 batch will be finished?...
I wasted no time in getting #2 under the lights. It showed up Friday at 7:00pm and I had a gig at 9:00pm. I opened the box, took it out of the case, wrapped my hands around the neck and instantly fell in love. I feels like a $1,000,000! It's everything that I could ever want in a bass.
Superb neck and set up. I have never played a bass with action this CRAZY low with no buzz.
The sound is beautiful. Crisp, clear, modern, punchy, articulate, dynamic, yet very even all around the neck. The preamp is extremely active in fact I enjoyed the sound best with the preamp just set flat. My sound man also loved it! He commented on how easily he was able to get a great sound out front. He said that he was actually able to turn the bass up louder in the mix because of it! I like that.
The bass looks amazing. Incredible fit and finish. It's carved beautifully and feels so smooth yet so solid. I'm telling people in the bar about my new bass, like the one that Victor Wooten plays and they say, "who"? Are you kidding me!?
I also had a gig on Sat. and it performed as well or even better because I am starting to get more used to it.
My wife asked me if I could ever find 1 bass that would be my only bass.............is she nuts? Well, this bass could actually be it. Feel, Sound, and Looks, I can't ask for anything more.
Thank you Fodera for making this bass and selling it to me! I can't wait for this weekend.......2 more gigs....can you tell I'm excited?
If you're not on the wait list, I suggest you get on it. I have many expensive basses. Sadowsky, Ken Smith, Lakland and others. My Fodera Yin Yang Standard is like a lovely mix of all my favorite features of all of my other basses, all in one. You will not be disappointed.

Jason when can i expect number 8???? Shipping to my office
They are $4,750
I'd say buy them directly from the shop as some dealers are charging more.
