I've got family abouts in Spokane too, but I'm never there.

I just heard through the grapevine that it's a pretty decent place to get some tattoos done, never really any names or anything. But, I take my time researching and whatnot.

Im sure no one will mind if you post them. If nothing else you can post them in one of the many other tattoo threads that are floating around somewhere.

Im thinking that I might get a full back tattoo of one of Dali's paintings. I dont know which yet, but it would have to be done by some freaking psyco who is too talented for life. Ive just always thought that guys art should be on skin.

I understand them. They're attention-getters. I read them as a sign that wearers didn't get enough attention in their youth, or otherwise need something to boost their self-image. Tattoos work.

For me, it's figured-top basses. But they don't seem to draw the negative attention that tat-wearers crave.

I Don't have any [or want any] and I still get them looks from time to time, you know the ones, ya those ones. Maybe it's how I dress, um lets see T-shirts and long cut off jeans, no that would be silly. could be the evil beard, it must be the evil beard. Or the fact that I'm around 6"4' and am built like a [out of shape] linebacker, but that just accounts for little kids looking at me as if I'm Hagrid. Oh and I have a tendency to color my hair blue and purple [although it’s its natural dark brown right now]; do I do this for attention, No, I just think I looks cool. If you don’t that’s your problem. I feel if you want to look anyway you want then cool, too many people care way too much about image and fitting it or not fitting in, me I could give a crap. I’ve met people that look normal and were losers and jerks and visa versa.

well unfortunately for me figured-top basses are a wee bit more than what a tat costs me (umm how you say, nothing!!). i have no urge for negative attention or attention period.. i got my first one when i was 24 and haven't stopped since. mine are about bass and being a leo.. 2 things on which i pride myself. if it was about attention i'd wear a billboard with "look at me i'm insecure". :p

but seriously, i more than understand your point I live just off Garnet in PB and there's 2, count 'em at least 2 tattoo shops on every block for roughly 9 blocks... that's only on Garnet!! , there must be at least 10 more in the same area.. if it was up to me i'd outlaw butterflies and tribal armbands :D

Some people dont care what other people think when a stranger or even a friend looks at them.

I put mine on my arm because it felt right. I like looking at it like a piece of art and its nice little reminder to myself of what I live for. 50 years from now when I hate my tattoo and hate playing bass it will be a reminder of where I was when I was 18 years old and got it.

Wow, hey it's ok to have an opinion man, but that is one serious generalization. I mean, God knows Munji never wanted attention, but then again your post seems to really grab me. Sorry bro, no beef.
