Interesting analogy though i would like to think I'm having more fun than a mechanic or a plumber!Might as well ask a woodworker if he has enough clamps!

Love it. Very, very well done / said. Lol.Why do polygamists have more than one wife?
This!Well, it's simple. We all know there are really only two kinds of basses: A Fender Jazz and Fender P. Anything else is a poser. So there is nothing wrong with picking one and having that be your bass. And we all know nobody needs more that 4 strings, not even Jaco. So that settles it that the bass you pick has 4 strings. And sure, there are people who play all kinds of strange music needing extended range, fretless, effects and God knows what, but nobody needs to be interested in any music you can't play on your chosen Fender. Life is just better if you just don't go there. That is why nobody needs any bass other than the ONE J or P 4-banger bass you already own. Period.
Why do polygamists have more than one wife?
Because I want to.Why not just get a really good one that you love?
After all, you only need on good one and a backup. Why do polygamists have more than one wife?
I can see why you would want a good backup just in case but why three or more? Why not just get a really good one that you love? Just curious.
