Which is your favorite, and why? Just curious.

Mine is my Big Al. I love the neck, the feel, and the fact that I really can get it to sound like anything I want. The passive option also helps to push it over the top. Oh yeah, love the looks too. :) It's different. Retro and futuristic at the same time. At least IMO.

I got about a dozen and my '95 Peavey Foundation might be my fave because it feels great and sounds killer... no wait, maybe actually its the '94 Ibanez SR1200 cause it sounds killer and feels great...naw, the Foundation because my second good bass was a Foundation...but my first good bass was an Ibanez SR...humm...the Peavey, no, wait, the Ibanez...err...

I absolutely love my fender jaguar. It is so beatuiful and sounds great. But I have to give respect to my first squier p/j bass. Upgraded it with seymour duncans so it can still compete with the better basses. But collecting basses is almost an addiction, no one understands they each sound different, and different genres need different basses. So misunderstood haha.

My 2000 Alembic 5 string is just an absolute tone beast. My 2006 Roscoe LG-3005 fretless and my 1980 Music Man Sabre are battling it out for 2nd. Funny thing is, lately I've been playing my Marchlewski 5 string most with my secular band, StrollerGoat. Reason? It travels better, especially in some of the places we play and it's easier for me to play and sing with than the Alembic. I need a fretted 5 for most gigs, so if I only want to take one bass, it's the Alembic or the Marchlewski, since the Roscoe is fretless and the Sabre is a 4.

The Alembic and the Roscoe get most of the church play.

Since the spring of 2006 - and even I can't quite believe I've had this bass that long, FIVE YEARS - this is the one I reach for most often. I flirt with my other basses, Big Als included, and if I have them still it's because they do certain things the way I want them done, but that red single H Bongo 5er is like a part of me.

i own 5, but i can nail it down to 3, but if i try really hard, i can peg it down to 2... my wal mk1, and my ball family reserve stingray....

but if i was forced for just 1 of the 5, it would be my wal mk1...

it has everything you need in a bass... its gorgeous, it feels amazing, the neck is like butter, the tonal possibilities are endless, with 3 tap coils, a filter based pre amp, and an xlr out... mmmmmmm....think i need to change my pants....

I have trouble with this because they are all quite capable of doing a gig and being qite nice I have to say the LTD Les Paul body that my daughter gave me for my 50th has great sound great looks and I use it almost exclusivly when recording but I log in close to 75 to a 100 gigs a year and am quite arthritic thus life dictates that for shows and mobility I use Hofners(I own 2) the black cherry one is a little better but the green one is my favorite color,I owned many over the years including Ric Gibson Guild Danos Yamaha's Ibanez,vote I guess goes for the green Icon for actual day to day and the LTD for sentimental,I also currently own a Cort and Peavey Foundation

You know that is really hard to answer. I love my Sadowskys and Spectors. However, they are different animals and it depends what I'm playing. I really love my Lakland Skyline Hollowbody strung with flats too. Of course, it is a different beast altogether. I guess if I could only have one bass, it would be one of my Sadowskys b/c they are just so versatile.

My Lakland Skyline 55-60 is the best bass I've ever owned, but right now my favorite is my franken-fretless. It's a '90 (or so, give or take a year) Warmoth J neck with an ebony fingerboard, an '83 Fender P body, and EMG P/J's. It's way too heavy for me to play all night, but I love the thing.

I have 9 basses and counting. Each one is special to me for different reasons but out of all of them, I really like my Music Man Bongo 4H Roasted neck the most. I love everything about that bass. I also like my Bongo 4HH Dargies Delight II but the one thing I dislike about it is the painted neck. I have always hated painted necks for some reason and prefer them to be natural wood grain.

With my Ibanez basses, I am also very sentimental with my 1994 SR 500. Up until this past year she was my number 1 for everything and I still love that bass with my 1995 Ibanez SR 500 as a very close second behind it. But with those two it is purely sentimental value as almost everything I have ever done has been with those two basses.

I like all of 'em for different reasons, but up until Thursday night the one I felt most at home with was my '04 EBMM Sterling H.
I just got a EBMM Sterling HS Roasted and after playing it at a jam last night I don't want to put it down - it feels just as good and I get a lot more tones out of it.
