It's a Corvette and in of some Corvette models the battery is located behind the driver's seat.what is a stringray?
So we put a meter to several new ones and they all read 9.5vDC or better. Wow!
I played active basses for years, and this was my routine when I was gigging constantly:
Change them for New Year's
Change them for 4th of July
. . . . and ALWAYS have a spare with me just in case the ones I bought were already way old when I got them.
Its the autocorrect version of Stingray. Me fail english? Thats unpossible.what is a stringray?
Thats what Im going to do from now on, its a good tip. I do like this kind of thing too:That's a good cycle to keep. I usually change batteries when I feel like "it's time", eyeballing about half a year's time too, but I feel like I change them a bit too often in the end. Maybe I should keep a log or use fixed dates like you.
I have a couple of basses with active/passive option like my G&L L2000 and its definitely a good thing to have.Happened to me once.
I decided it was a pain in the butt to remember changing them / keeping spares / throwing away batteries with 50% power left just out of fear etc, so now I power the bass with 18V from the pedalboard, and would only use instruments with a preamp bypass, so it's never happening again.
We have a big Christmas gig coming up and I am taking two passive basses this time. Dont even want to think about it.this is exactly why I will only play passive basses
this is exactly why I will only play passive basses
Thats what Im going to do from now on, its a good tip. I do like this kind of thing too:
Keith McMillen Instruments Batt-O-Meter
Though it looks like its out of production and didnt get great reviews.
