They were friends, partied hard with them when they came to Lincoln. Had a recording, from one of their shows, wonder what ever happened to it. They did a version of "Come On" that was as good as anybody's.

One of my all time favorite bands is Trapeze, but very few people seem to remember them or have even heard of them, yet they are IMO one of the best rock bands ever. Another one is Bloodrock, just because of the song D.O.A. What are your favorite forgotten or unknowns?

I used to play some Bloodrock tunes, back when they were current! They had the best album cover art!

Still my favorite from the 70s is Fanny. Jean, was, and still is a monster of a bass player.

I couldn't classify any of these as ground breaking, but these were some good bands from the times that should have gotten more of their due,

Free Will a.k.a. Jukin' Bone
Caravan
Nektar
Blue Ash

Some bands that were pretty big back then, but I wouldn't classify as legendary, but not nearly as remembered compared to how big they were back in the day, Foghat, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Thin Lizzy.

Also for sh!tes and giggles, remember Walter Carlos? I used to dig me some Switched On Bach! I think I should own that one again...
