Colton Herta a possible Daniel Ricciardo replacement for 2024 or earlier
I still say Danny Rick will be racing IndyCars in a few years. Being popular is nice, but regularly appearing on the podium is a different game. D.R.'s over-the-top persona in a paddock full of lack of more subdued personalities is the key reason why he's stood out over the past 10 years. IndyCar would love to have him = in line with the chiefly American market and for a series that always seems to be pushing for eyeballs.

I agree about the DRS. I never cared for it actually as it always seemed like a cheat way of passing vs. real talent and a better car under you.

The race is in a stadium parking lot ten miles inland.
I'm going into the weekend with an open mind... yet temporary courses like this have (for the most part) seldom been great.

Yep, I am hoping for the best for sure. A whole lot of the Tilke designed permanent courses haven't really been all that swell either though.
Last weeks race had a few corners that were too sharp for my liking...ymmv
These slap dash courses are so gimmicky, and always too much of a random factor for me. Skill/ride should always be rewarded more than getting lucky over a crappy chunk of road. These cars are ground-effect tuned to the millimeter, bumpy asphalt is accidents waiting to happen.
That being said, my friend Pete is in Miami and I am way jealous.

It's going to be the same track for all the drivers/teams so I'm not critical about the setup. The cars are adjustable enough to be able to handle everything short of a motocross track.
I'm just celebrating having another F1 race in the US.

Maybe it'll actually be better for controlling the porpoising thing, assuming they'll have to adjust ride height upwards anyway.
Speaking of motocross, a long-time friend of mine went to the Doha race last year and she's not really a racing fan; it was just something to do after work.
