I always thought Zandvoort was a cool circuit but your probably right. I hope to someday make it over the pond and at the very least go to Spa for a race but Zandvoort would also be on the list just because of the history there.

That being said , history is constantly being made somewhere, but admittedly I have a soft spot for those euro circuits that have been around for decades. IMO Spa is the most beautiful circuit on the planet. We are fortunate to live a few hours drive from Road America which is also very nice, but I want to see Watkins Glen someday as well.

Oh man, if I lived that close to Road America, I'd be there all the time -- that place is superb. There's not a better racing circuit in North America.

I've only been to a couple but yeah it is a fantastic facility all around. Its been dubbed "Americas national park of speed" I think that fits pretty well however I still have Watkins Glen and maybe Laguna Seca on the ol' bucket list

This year's race at Baku wasn't as exciting as it usually is, but I still dig that track!

Ferrari engines have issues while the Red Bull powerplant appears to be running smooth. With more fast tracks coming up on the schedule, Ferrari better figure things out quick.

Aside from running off the track while chasing Ocon, Vettel had a nice weekend. Ever since the Aston showed up with their Red Bull-ish parts, they've done well... or at least Seb has. :smug:

I simply don't understand why McLaren didn't swap Lando and Ricciardo at the end of the race. I heard the radio transmission to Lando saying they were paying back the #3 team for their help to the #4 team earlier in the race... but geez, Lando is 7th in points with Ricciardo sitting in 13th, so you'd think the team would want to get as many points to their lead driver as they can... but obviously not. Oh well...

There's chatter that Lewis may not compete next weekend in Montreal due to his back pain brought on by the porpoising of the car... but if I were a betting man, I say Lewis will be in the #44 in Canada. The Mercedes must be a tough car to drive, but this smells like typical Lewis grandstanding in the face of adversity.

IndyCar has bored me this year. Too many dishrag personalities... and the limp NBC coverage doesn't help. However, as mentioned many times before, Road America is a fantastic race track.

I didn't see one second of Le Mans as I completely forgot about it. Toyota continues to show they've got the hot car for that race.

Bring on Montreal! Great to see the race back on the schedule... and who doesn't love back-to-back race weekends?!

Btw, where do you folks think Ricciardo, Gasly and Vettel will be driving next season and beyond? Lots of chatter about where these guys are gonna go. I've even heard that Ocon may be on the hotseat.

Thoughts?

I did catch the Indy after the Grand Prix and it was fun to see Roman Grosjean racing and cheer him on.

I am happy Aston Martin got in the points...Good job Sebastian...But our boy Lance Stroll??? What happened?? Ferrari again!!

I enjoyed the race , but once Leclerc and Sainz were out....It lost any excitement for pole wins.

George seems to be shining brighter than Lewis at the moment.

Haas deserved points and my heart went out to Gunther and Kevin Magnusson.

Wish we could go to Montreal next weekend...But ticket prices are very high.

I’ve been to so many and been lucky enough to drive (track day) two. Near me Willow Springs and Laguna Seca are outstanding to drive on. My favorite non road circuit I’ve been to was Pocono. Watkins Glen was fantastic. Glad when it returned to use. Mark Martin owned that track, he was my driver of choice in the day.
