Normal, typically meaning 'long scale' 34". No special strings required.
Also has hipshot bridge and fully shielded.
A project bass makes it nice to have a bridge where the strings slip out the back.

I've been tempted to do a Lefty neck, but was concerned about E string length going all the way to the end of the neck. Do normal strings make the reach or do you have to go with longer strings????

Finished this up a few days ago...

Squier P-Bass neck
Old Korean Fender/Squier plywood body
Bartolini Classic Jazz single coil pickups
New electronics, control plate and neck plate form Guitar Electronics
Pickguard from an SX Jazz
Knobs are Celtic crosses from an Ebay seller.
Tuners of unknown origin from Ebay.

This bass sounds great. :bassist: It plays pretty well, too, although I'm still working on the set-up.

I've posted this before, but I guess it really belongs on this thread:

- P body from Scott Hembry guitars, modeled after one of Billy Sheehan's basses
- Fender MIM J neck
- EBO pickup
- unknown P pickup (a '62 reissue Fender pickup on the way though)
- Hipshot tuners

Looks like thats gonna be cool, what specs are you gonna do? I cant wait to get all my parts in to finish mine....should be sometime this coming week. :hyper:
Highway 1 Nitro USA Fender body
Novak Split J's
Rothstein V/B/T with V-cap.
Hipshot Ultralites Y in black
Hipshot A style bridge in black. I went back and forth on wether to get aluminum or brass with string through. I opted for the aluminum top mount only. Since this thing is going to be so light and decided not to counter act that. I can always add string through later.
I ordered two pickguards. Tortoise and Vintage Pearl, We'll see which looks better.
Neck is Status Graphite
Jazz width
Side LED's are red
Neck is tinted red
Maple/Phenolic Fingerboard

Well, keep us posted on yours when it comes in!!

I'll post a picture of mine so far when I have access to a camera, but here's the specs:

Black precision body, unknown brand
Electra jazz neck, rosewood with pearl block and binding
Stingray copy pickup at the bridge, unknown brand
Dimarzio precision pickup in the standard position
"The brick" double-jazz pickup at the neck, unknown brand
series/parallel/single switches for each pickup as well as individual volume knobs

I haven't made the pickguard yet and I don't have a bridge, otherwise it's pretty much done.
