Got mine yesterday. Haven't had a chance to try it. Pretty cool though, I was in need of a new cable!

Free Elixir 20ft cable

Got mine in yesterday as well. Quite a beefy cable! Sounds clear, but did not do a comparison with my other Bayou cables.
Mine came USPS.
After about two hours of very un-scientific A/B'ing it against my black Monster thru my Acoustic B20 last night, I think I can hear a difference...the overall tone seems to be a little richer, or something. I'm curious to hear what it will be like thru the Ampeg later this afternoon. I agree that it is a little stiffer than I'd prefer...maybe it'll break in...

I was thinking, I never got a confirmation e-mail from Elixir saying a cable was on the way. I do hope they send me one linking to the evaluation page. I don't want to seem like I'm blowing them off. That's kind of sleazy. Perhaps I'll e-mail them...
I was just now trying to remember what/where/how we are supposed to leave feedback...they have an evaluation page set up?
they said they will follow up with a reminder email after the 1st of the year. They will give you a couple different options for feedback...
I hope they do better with the reminders than they did w/the 'you got one' mail...the one I didn't get.

same, by the sounds of how heavey it is i may stick with my monster cable i have used for 4 years
So far I can't really tell if the tone is "better", but the output of the cable some how seems higher or hotter. It's a good cable for sure and I'm waiting to play it through my sansamp and 8x10. Also I got mine by USPS too.
Got mine when I got home from work last night. Only thing I noticed was a little bit more clean headroom in an a/b vs a 20ft standard monster.
I A/B'd the Elixir cable with my Groove Plugs and Live Wire cables. I think I may be getting a little crisper highend, but not very noticeable. This Elixir cable seems to be well made and durable - definitely a step up from the Groove and two steps up from the Live Wire. I would buy this cable, but not for $70. I would place it's value at about $30.
I encourage you guys to do a blind A/B test. I don't want to turn this thread into another 100page flame war about whether or not cables make a difference in tone, but its something to think about. Just be wary of marketing and "hype".
