I shot some new pics for this thread.

I normally don't go for the P look per se.
But that is freakin' HOT!!!
My problem with those basses was always that, if they're only going to put one pickup on it they should have put it a lot closer to the bridge!
Not Really! I have La Bella Deep Talking Bass strings on mine which are a black nylon tape wound and great for fretless. Your all black Bass with black strings would be a trip! Mine's black strings on black ebony finger board. A 1999 Matt Pulcinella Guitars Level 5.

Are those LaBella's the Rob Allen version? The B looks a tad short for your bass.

Here's my Fretless NYC Sadowsky Standard 4 I got about one month ago or so. She sports a Flamed/Spalted Maple top over Swamp Ash and a lined Ebony fretboard on a Maple neck. The neck was shaped to match my '88 Sadowsky and the pickups are in the "70's" location.

Here's my "former" fretless, a Yamaha RBX-775 that I picked up when they were clearancing out the line - I had picked up a fretted the week before, liked it so much I went for a second and had a great set of matching fretted & fretless for virtually nothing - that I defretted myself and installed matching blue "Ghost" lines:

...and the current (and certainly "keeper") fretless, my Spector ReBop 5 DLX FM Lined Fretless in Blueburst (to match "her" brother, a ReBop 5 in Black Cherryburst) with an HG Thor Epoxy Treatment - an absolutely amazing process that's worth every penny:
