Fretless gallery!

I don't think I put this one in this thread yet. I recently bought an Ibanez SR1305PM. The two previous owners weren't sure if Ibanez ever offered it as a fretless and I could find very little info on this model online, but if it was defretted it was a great job.

I was drooling over that one myself. I just couldn't work up the guts to pull the trigger - I never had an unlined fingerboard before.

I had some fun playing my fretless Exotic Custom 5 the other night, and I just so happened to have my camera on me.

The lighting was less than ideal, and the color balance varies a bit from photo to photo, but on the whole, I'd say these pics are fairly representative of the color/finish.

This is probably the worst shot, exposure-wise (flash), but it's the only decent one of the entire bass:

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. As good as all of Pete's basses are, I am convinced that he saves just that little extra mojo for his fretless basses.

This is by no means as stunning as some of the basses on this thread, but it's a combination I've wanted to have for a long time.

It's a 2007 MIM Fender Standard FSR with a Warmoth fretless P neck. Warmoth provided the nut and the finish; I installed Schaller tuners and a Stewart-McDonald string retainer. The tortoise pickguard came with, but I replaced the chrome screws with black ones. The pickup is a Basslines Quarter Pound and it is strung with TI Jazz flats.

This one is still a work in progress. It'll be fretless.

It's an Alfonso Iturra with the following selection of woods:

• Body: Alder with Cocobolo top
• Neck: 7 pieces laminate. Maple, Wenge and Mahogany
• Fretboard: Ebony and matching ebony headstock

It'll have an ebony custom made bridge, gold hardware (tuners and knobs) and The Low End custom Pickups.
