The sunburst eBay one sold, the Dublin listing has FINALLY been delisted. Anyone know about our long term Portland wonder? I found a listing for it one YowCow too. Why not just put it on CL?

The gold hardware L5000 is gone again. Aggressively priced to sell, it was done at 700 USD.

In other news, I took my Cherryburst L5000 to a friend's wedding today to play during the ceremony. The aggressive bad boy took the role of a true softie by backing up an acoustic guitar for Pachelbel's Canon in D (truly what Leo had in mind when designing the L5000 :P). Long story short, the bass performed admirably, and the venue asked the guitarist and I if we could do more weddings. I was shocked and very flattered.

Love the hs shape - my favorite G&L version. I briefly owned a black/rw L5000 but the neck was bowed and I sent it back. (wasn't disclosed in the ebay auction) In the interim I played it but wasn't bowled over by the tone and the tight spacing was challenging. This bass looks to be in nice trim and probably is a good bass for those who prefer more guitar-like spacing.
