Double Bass Full Circle failure

Back when I first got my LaScala hybrid, it already had a Full Circle installed. During the first Aebersold workshop that year, the pickup started to go bad. I sent it back to Fishman, and they fixed it (replaced it, actually) in a few days. IIRC, their CS and turnaround time was excellent. It was a drag in that I had to be without the pickup for a few days, but they took care of it and it cost me nothing. The one they replaced it with and the one installed on my ply have been problem free so far.

My Full Circle has a bad connection from the pick up end. It works if I use a twist tie to hold the wire in place, but that's a little precarious. I contacted Fishman and they said I'd have to send the pick up in for repairs. Has anybody had this problem? How did you fix it?
It's a notorious problem. Many people turn the adjuster wheel and end up busting the wire on the inside. It's best not to touch that wire at all and go to great pains to avoid it when moving the adjuster wheel. That's hard to do. They tell me they are working on that.

Regardless Fishman always fixes that stuff for you. Send it in.

When I installed mine, that little design flaw was the first thing I noticed. I was very careful not to put any pressure or strain on the wire coming out of the adjuster wheel. It seems like a pretty easy thing to remedy with some sort of reinforcement at that point, maybe something as simple as a glob of epoxy.

Fishman is a group of very smart and talented cats. It ain't that easy or they'd have done it already. I'm sure they don't like fixing that stuff for free.

well they didn't charge me nuthin. I love the pick up but it has gone south on me twice now (same problem) and just started its downward spiral again. I think it is time for a new one.
