I feel you, my man. Having said that, I have bought a zillion things I really had no use for(Strymon Big Sky comes, immediately, to mind.), as I'm sure a lot of us have. I can assure you that I WILL find uses for the FI. May not be with my current band, but I can always create some original stuff that sounds awesome with some FI synthy goodness...;)

BTW, must be getting closer. I got an email from Gabor a few minutes ago asking me for my phone number for the shipping company...I'm getting excited!!

Hey guys, like some others around here, I'm a midi noob. So I was looking for the Roland UM-ONE as the most standard and safe option to buy, especially since Andras mentioned it works fine. Since this being a quite expensive season, I also searched on Ali Express and found this. A midi interface for 4 bucks, free shipping, ten times cheaper than the Roland. Off course you have to be careful with Ali Express, but this product has 85% good feedback from 300 buyers.... Any thoughts on this?

When I bought my M-Audio UNO I looked into a bunch of ones like this. My conclusion was, in short, that you get what you pay for. The cheapest ones will work but not necessarily in a reliable way. I don't know that I consider 85% feedback to be that high. I'd probably buy something with better reviews.

this does not look like it will do sysex properly, but then again at 4 bucks you can try it and if it does not work, everybody else knows...

Those things usually can't do sysex
