I believe this was asked already and I hope this is possible but is there any Way that you or someone can develop an iOS app? I believe I saw pure data apps in the App Store so perhaps this is possible. It would be really great to be able to edit parameters at a gig with a tablet, instead of having to lug a laptop. Thoughts?

If this coule be done, it would be the absolute coolest thing ever. Every time I get to play with it, I keep thinking that nothing could make this more fun and usable, but having an app to edit it on my iPad would definitely do that.

It wouldn't be the same as an app but I have lokki's list of NRPN values and I am working on a MIDI Designer layout for the Future Impact. It won't be able to "read" any current settings from the FI but it will be able to change any of them.

Zsolt Rammer, who is working now on the PC and MAC editors, is also an excellent IOS programmer, so this would not be a problem basically for him, I believe. The only difficulty what I see is that the huge number of controls what the editor requires would be hard or impossible to implement on the smaller IOS screen, especially since you have to adjust them with you finger instead of the mouse pointer. So, maybe a different arrangement will be needed with several pages for the editor.

Agreed. But I don't think it would be too small on an iPad screen. Perhaps different apps for ipad and iPhone? Ok now I'm getting greedy! lol!

Note: I also added a folder that contains the manuals as well, however I did not upload the editing software. I felt it's probably best to obtain from Panda's website so you have the latest updates when they become available.

Let me know what you think about this idea. This is the first time for me doing anything like this so please let me know if there is a problem accessing, uploading, or downloading from the link.

Please be careful not to delete items on the page. I will try to make offline backups as much as possible just in case. Also, lets try and keep this within our TB community. I just want to avoid any trolling or virus uploads.

Even if they start an official one, I still think it's cool to have a TB one. Thanks for putting this together. I will definitely give it a try next time I'm out with my board.

I need to readjust the levels for the vco levels for the "take on me" (Aha) patch. I was getting some minor glitches if I wasn't extremely careful with my technique. Then I read in the manual if your vco levels add up to over 127, it will glitch /distortion. So I just need to make some adjustments.

I would be glad to help and share patches as well. I have to be honest though.... I have been programming bass sounds for years and believe it or not I still have very little technical knowledge when it comes to doing so. Unfortunately for me I never really took the time to educate myself and understand what each parameter does and how they work together. I do have an idea of what some parameters do just from my experience, but I honestly achieve my sounds from lots of knob twiddling and trial and error.

Basically I try to find a patch that is somewhat close to the sound I am looking for and then tweak from there. I don't think I've ever tried to create a sound from the ground up. Perhaps it's time to try and do so and actual educate myself in the technical aspects behind it.

So a "simple" mode and an "advanced" mode for programming. That could be interesting. I think though a simple mode will not fully translate since we all have our opinions on different sounds and tonalities. But it definitely is an interesting suggestion. I just hope an iOS/android app comes to fruition. :)

A couple, LCD Sound Systems - Someone Great and Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls, are responses from my "sound challenge" post way back here: Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested? I think they come pretty close to matching the original.

I've started an attempt at the others, but haven't gotten close enough yet to post patches for them.

Sweet! Looking forward to checking them out. I'm at a gig tonight so if there was an iOS / android app I would be able to check it now!

I made a patch for "The Promise" which I will be using tonight. If all goes well I will add it to the share.
Wow this is fun!!! Good times my bass synth brothers!

Does it have to be D-shaft? Splined shaft would be easier to obtain, I believe. The Electro-Harmonix Pitch Fork uses an 11-detent linear pot with a splined shaft.

If you can use a smooth shaft pot, then you could use these: Alpha Single-Gang 9mm Right-Angle PC Mount,11 Detents

Just used a patch live I made for "take on me" by Aha. Sounded really good. I may have to add a little low end to it for live purposes though. I also have a patch for "show me love" by robin s.

Sorry to be blowing up the thread with this stuff. I'm just so psyched and happy to be gigging with these type of synth tones again. It's been I think 4 years now since my original DI died.
