Well this is my first attempt at recording something. Not great, but I thought I'd share. Really digging this pedal

Love your web page. I would visit it on a regular basis to get my DI fix when mine crapped out.Regarding the NiN sound, scroll to the bottom of this page Chunk Systems Octavius Squeezer Sound Samples and Patches and there's a "Closer" demo of the Squeezer and BOSS OC2 > Korg G5 for comparison. Just so you can hear what some of the other synth pedals can do. Not saying any particular box is better than another, just demo'ing what's in the realm of general possibilities with various synth pedals. Eventually I'll start a FI page and add recordings there, too, and will run it through the same Roland hexachorus effect to see how it sounds in stereo like that. Should be pretty good.

Man nailing that chromeo lick is tough to do consistently with the patch you made. The patch sounds great but you really have to be extremely precise and play it so staccato. I messed with the note on/off, varied input gain, tone roll off, varied technique, etc... but it is tough. I think the patch needs to be tweaked even if you have to sacrifice from nailing the sound pretty spot on as you did. I would also sprinkle in some direct bass to help as well, not go full synth.Always my pleasure to share.Even if the patches don't EXACTLY nail the studio sound hopefully they get close enough, or at least are good enough for general use elsewhere. I like the sound challenges as they give you a defined target to try to hit, always a good way to learn programming new gear.
@maisbass Question for you about the Chromeo patch specifically. Can you personally play and the FI to retrigger this patch at the same speed as the studio recording? Those initial note jumps in the beginning of the riff are challenging to trigger for me.

So here is a short phone recording (I apologize for the sound quality) of the lick so you can hear that it does work somewhat at times. Sometimes it sounds as if the pitch starts to bend too.

Man. I've been trying to convince myself I don't need this pedal. I need this pedal. Killer.

Morning TB. has anyone tried this amazing pedal with either the iconnect MIDI1 or iconnect MIDI2??
Looking for something I can store pickup before I order one of the known working devices.
Thanks much friends.
Ps this thing is SUPER DOPE!!oi
Edit: any other MIDI / audio from the gc work?? Is there a list of devices that we are using?? (Other than the 4 known)
Makes sense. I will try this at my gig later. I'm heading out the door n a few for a nice 2 1/2 hour journey up north to Connecticut. My band is playing a party for the company Sikorsky. They make aircraft for the government, such as the Black Hawk.I can't try this right now, but if you try to play the exact same riff using some other patches can you can get it to retrigger any differently? The root of my question is to determine if it's some parameter within a patch that makes it seem to retrigger differently than another patch. Because off the top of my head I can't imagine why patch parameters would affect the raw retriggering. If it's all pitch and bass envelope detection that aspect doesn't change at all from patch-to-patch. The only thing you can change is the attack/decay/sustain of the VCO and VCF, but the release is always instantaneous when triggered by bass thus should be instantly ready for the next attack/note on. So I'm back to trying to understand what patch parameters would possibly make retriggering seem to change.
Off the top of my head a slow VCO/VCA attack could delay / mask the initial note attack, which if you're playing really fast runs could potentially make the fast notes inaudible if you're already onto the next note in the sequence before the VCO/VCA attack reaches audible volumes.

just my 2 cents... Focusrite Scarlet works with FI software!!! WOOHOO
So I just tried the chromeo lick with patch 1 on the FI and it tracked perfectly. No problem at all.I can't try this right now, but if you try to play the exact same riff using some other patches can you can get it to retrigger any differently?
