Hey lokki just wanted to say thanks for the pD editor it works great.

Finally had a chance to sit down with the unit today and try some ideas out. The oscillators sound better than I thought they would, filter is nice too although I couldn't get an formant sounds from changing the second filter offset, maybe it's just me.

Would have liked more modulation options - LFO to oscillator pitch, ring modulation/FM, and for an ADSR VCA envelope that could trigger/retrigger from the audio input, but still it does a lot of cool stuff and I'll easily find a couple of pedals to boot off my board to stick this one on it.

Doesn't look like it, no. It's a bit annoying because you won't be able to tweak things easily in rehearsals and then store them.

Oh right I see, you're saying you'd be writing your own MIDI editor? Well then yeah. I thought you mean tweaking stuff via MIDI from a standard MIDI controller then saving to the pedal.

Actually, looking at it there isn't a way to upload to the FI without saving the file first in this pD editor but I don't see why you couldn't do it. It's all just MIDI data. I guess all you really need in addition to the params is which patch to overwrite.

open up my sound nr 53 or 60 to hear/see formants in action it's about moving the two filters with the ad or the envelope...

yeah i would also love lfo to everywhere, but it is hard to implement all those things with the one processor in the pedal. lfo to vco does exist though, it is there in the lfo section.... did you check out my fm-like sounds? (nr 21 to 27)?

well, you cannot just write what you edited. it does work differently. you save all those values and translate them into a sysex message that gets sent to the fi with patch number info and a checksum to make sure everything is transmitted as expected. that is also why it is a twofold process. first save to a file, then upload it. i could make it work "directly" as in save what you just did to the pedal, but i still would have to ask the user about a patch number and "translate" it to sysex, basically it will take the same amount of time for the user and i think it is good to have all the files saved on the computer as well.

Listen to "dwarf" (no. 19). It IS a formant sound.

If somebody has any particular problem with his device (like here the sticker foil), then he should write an e-mail about it to the address that stands at the end of the quickstart guide, instead of complaining here. But generally:
1. The sticker foil is easy to remove and replace.
2. If it is damaged like on the photo then of course I can send a replacement.
3. The sticker foil was covered after printing with a thermally molded transparent scratch protective layer.

Not to be rude to the inventor of what is likely an awesome sound I pedal, but TB is all about sharing their experiences... It would be wrong for members to keep any problem they've had with a $400 investment to themselves.

I think the price you pay for it is not only for "THE" pedal. Taking in count the small scale of production, you are also paying the customer service (very good to this moment), updates to the pedal firmware and the development of a software. I remember a pedal that costed like 600 and only had a good customer service (for a time) and the promise of a software that never saw the light. On the other hand I do think the pedal could use some better knobs/pots, they move to the slightest touch. Recently I got a Darkglass Super Symmetry and those are AMAZING feeling knobs.

I have to admit it always makes me smile when a manufacturer happily takes advantage (to the fullest possible extent in this particular case) of the free marketing and promotion that a forum like TB provides and then gets grumpy when users share their problems as well.

i agree. but I also think some part of andras message was geared more towards: "hey please drop me an email first since I don't visit that forum too often and I don't see anything here." in your particular case I had to write him before he noticed...
