The FI is first in my chain as well... I have no issues with tracking. The FI is emitting a constant high pitch which is made much more audible by the B7k. I'll post back tonight after I try isolated power, I'm assuming that is the issue.

That sucks. I have a B3K, among other things, after mine, and it tracks just fine. Maybe it doesn't like the power set up.

Yeah until you try isolated power this is kind of a non-issue. I'm not surprised at all.
The B7K also does not play nice with other pedals sometimes, power-wise.
You are not alone. After a few emails I did eventually get confirmation from Gabor that I'm on the list for batch 2, but nothing since then. I agree it's frustrating to see folks receiving units when we haven't even been asked for payment yet. We just have to remember we're not dealing with a big corporation here. ...I do find myself checking my inbox more often these days though!
I didn't come up with a perfect solution by any means with my cut-down fender washer. But it is an improvement. FEA Labs still uses O-rings sandwiched between the knob and pot even on the newer DE-CL I own and those knobs have a great feel. Hopefully someone can source the proper O-ring that would work better with the FI knobs and pots.

Hi all - I received my Future Impact and on first listen, the sounds and tracking are as just as good as I hoped. Just fantastic!
After the first play I thought, well some of these sounds are amazing, let's move the good ones down to one bank so my favourites are set to 1,2,3,4 etc to save hassle and lots of foot clicking on gigs. I have concluded that to do even this, I need to set up the midi side of things.
Reading the Future Impact Patch sharing thread, I bought the Roland Midi cable as I'll need it anyway to edit or create new patches. ( Invalid Link Removed )
Tried to install the UM-ONE software on my 10 month old iMac but the UM-ONE set up instructions don't seem to tie up with the settings available on my Mac...
I have installed UM-ONE software seemingly successfully on my PC and clicking on the UM-ONE shortcut opens a small popup window showing "MIDI IN setting" and a tick box for "Light Load" and just a link to open up the Read Me file.
UM-ONE is set to "COMP"
I open up the FI editor and have been staring at it for hours...
Is it just me that feels hopelessly out of my depth with this?
How do I move patches around?
I can see that there are lots of sliders to play with on the editor but can't see what patch number it will effect.
Do I need to plug the bass into the pedal and play? If so, should I hear something? Clicking on the "keyboard" keys at the bottom of the editor makes no noise. Should I be plugging a midi keyboard into the UM-ONE or the PC?
I'm guessing these are ridiculously silly questions but I am just a humble bass player.....
The Octavius Squeezer now seems very simple in comparison :0)
I have read the User Guide but it doesn't seem relevant to just moving patches around or fine tuning existing presets.
Can anyone offer any advice please? I'd like to:

- Move some of my favourite factory presets EG Analog Attack number 43 down into Bank / Presets 1- 10.
- Fine tune some of my favourite presets to my liking and also save in another bank somewhere.

The OS will go down in [my] history books as the most complicated, non-intuitive UI in the history of FX pedals.The FI editor isn't too complicated, though could be laid out better. There's no "librarian" functionality so basically you use patches saved as files on your local machine and write them to the location you want on the pedal using the editor. Start a list of suggestions for the editor and eventually email it directly to Andras @ Panda for consideration using the email address on their website.
Generally you can think of the synth part working similarly to the OS. VCO > VCF > FX > OUTPUT In the editor the VCO stuff is all grouped, but the right side of the editor is a little confusing and the VCF features are split up for some reason. But focus on the VCO and VCF to start, you'll have hours of fun with just that.

you should hear a sound from the f.i. when you click on the keyboard, yes. have you enabled the f.i. (in bypass mode you will not hear a sound since it is true bypass)
moving patches around should be as simple as opening up the folder with all the default sounds (you can download it from the panda support site) and renaming them so they reflect your patch ordering vision
so for example 43analogattack.prg becomes 01analogattack.prg
once you edited all the programs/patches names to your liking just open the editor and choose "select directory" from the fieditor menu. choose the defaults sounds directory where you edited your patch numbers. then hit write all and you should be good to go...
It would be great if someone can make a video of editor, like what it can do, how you connect it, why would you use it, and some basic stuff how to save, edit, move sounds on FI... I think it would be great for majority of people. don't you?

On the other hand the Future Impact seems to me like what we have all been waiting so long for (once I get to grips with it!) - huge thanks to those behind it.

Hi Lokki - yes I've selected the midi in and midi out device and FI is enabled but I just don't hear anything. I'm not even sure I should be hearing anything. I guess hitting the keys/notes on the virtual keyboard in the editor should play a currently selected patch thru my speakers. All is set up ok on my PC for listening to music through my speakers so no issues there.
I'm assuming any edits I try and make will not work if something is wrong in my setup.
As per my post above, despite my current issues, many thanks Lokki for this fantastic pedal. The possibilities seem endless and it is what myself and many other bass players have been waiting years and years for.
