Okay, so have you done this before? Because I'm about to ask a potentially insulting question, but it must be asked just in case...

In the editor you need to select your MIDI "In" and "Out" ports. It doesn't automatically connect. Have you done that? Again, sorry if an insulting question...

Are you getting the "Dashes" in the display of the FI when you open up the editor? If so, then did you select the UM One in the midi preferences drop down menu in the FI Editor?

@Adamixoye just saw your post now after I posted my reply. I guess I didn't refresh my browser lol.

No- I only see on the fi whatever patch it is on. In the drop down on the Mac- it gives me 2 options. 1-off or 2-vitrtual , doesn’t give me the UM one option.

Yea- thanks for the reply- I only have 2 options off or virtual- so weird- frustrated at this point. Pedal sounds amazing just a shame I can’t experience the full potential- at a loss at this point- may try and drag it to a keyboard players house and say “***”... can’t really do anything else....

I'm going to test my Roland out soon, hopefully tonight, no later than this weekend, and I'll let you know what happens...

If my fuzzy memory serves correctly, there’s also a switch on the UM-One mkII that needs to be in its correct position. Also might try going into either system preferences or applications maybe and selecting the um one there.

Update- realized I needed to DL the UM-one mk 2 drivers. Also switched UM to “comp” where it needs to be- NOW I’m ay the next obstacle. Drivers are DL’d, restarted Mac, and following instructions in um booklet, but the brick wall now is when I open “midi devise settings” um is still not being recognized. At a standstill-

I tested mine for the first time. First I installed the drivers while it was unplugged, restarted my computer, and then plugged everything in. I got the editor to recognize it and the editor was clearly making changes to the sound...although the keyboard in the editor didn't seem to be doing anything.

So I've confirmed it should basically work, either you have a driver issue or a bad unit it would seem...

So yea I’ve selected this like 10 times- in ultilites, select “audio MIDI set up” but this window pops up and there is NO tab to click on to set up midi devices. Absolutely maddening when it’s an audio midi set up lol- if I could just get to that point, the link you sent is great.

If you go to the menu, click on window, then do you see in the drop-down 'Show Midi Studio' ? (see below, except my screenshot says 'Hide Midi Studio' because I already clicked). I think the grey window with the 3 boxes 'Bluetooth' 'Network' 'IAC driver' is what you're missing. Looks like that Apple help doc needs some TLC.

I’m there and I see um-one now. It’s grayed out. They suggest hitting the rescan midi and/or unplugging to be able to go any further. Neither worked. But hey, damn close... thanks.

Out of respect to the tb community I’ve beat down with this situation, I’ll pm you. They’re communicating now, even did the 2.03 update- but I’ll pm you a question. Everyone’s been s huge help.!
