Email sent...but taking another look at the picture, the bank selector is literally on top of the on/off switch. I don't see how one would be able to use the pedal without triggering it from somewhere else, in which case, why not eliminate the foot switches entirely?

Since you are 3D printing and not stuck to a premade enclosure, can you do a version that is wider? Maybe like this:

Great use of MS paint there!

I'm not keen on making it wider. The whole point is to make it smaller, but if your really keen i can do a 1 off for you.

I have designs in progress that will move the on/off button away from the encoder and/or protect the encoder.

As it is the Encoder is very vulnerable as its the highest point on the pedal, and the first thing a foot might hit on the way down. There are 2 potential solutions to that problem...potentially raising the switches, or creating a custom knob that is supported by the housing in a way the current one is not.

Yes i have considered this too as i use mine in the same way... However, occasionally i do prefer to use the controlls to scroll through patches when creating new sounds.

Removing them entirely is a bit extreme, replacing them with smaller buttons i understand will satisfy some users, including myself. This Obviously comes at the cost of simplicity. It would involve modification of the internals, rather than just rehousing them.

I use the encoder to jump banks by 10s so I'd want access to that, the on/off, and the program selector switch. I'd be interested to see what you can come up with. I'd like the pedal to take up less space, but being usable is more of a priority and if the 3 buttons were all accessible in a tighter package, that'd be amazing.

Yeah, compact but usable would be great. Raised buttons are fine or whatever. I'm ok with a fairly tight pattern but you know you'll end up with some kind of compromises.

I rehoused mine soon after getting it because I hated the giant box. Couldn't find pic on my phone so here's link..

I wasn't a fan of the buttons being so close so I used it like this for a little while..

After a smaller box I modded it for external switches. I built one for Mosfed too but it's time consuming. Now I don't use the switches all I just use a DMC 3XL.

The 3d printed box looks great, that's pretty awesome! For anyone getting one, the stock switches will fit inside without having to cut wires if you go the midi switch route.

I’ve got it! You could have a small clear, hinged plastic dome that covers the encoder, like a cockpit canopy, then you can make the whole enclosure look like a mini alien spaceship! :-)

I love this since you can choose to move the switches w a longer cable or not use them and trigger via MIDI. Would love something like this, although the encoder is a main button I click.
