Although Gabor called this sound a "split" sound, it is not really a split, much more than that; you can hear at the end that the descending scale continuously fades from synth to bass.

Well, I have to clear up a misunderstanding here. When I programmed these sounds I had no bass guitar at hand (I am a keyboard and sax player, so sometimes a friend can help me out with an instrument), so I used a sample bass for triggering the presets. So what you hear as “clean” sound, it will be your bass guitar’s sound when you play it. It is a feat nevertheless: with a clean slap bass technic you can play two instruments in different octaves and it is really a pseudo split effect. This “split” effect can be achieved within the synth sound as well, quite different character can be heard when you play an octave or more higher. I can post a preset demo very soon for demonstrating that.

Version 2.22 is available, you can use the Chrome updater to load it, or you can also download it from pandamidi.com and use the editor for update.

oh wow. that kick drum patch sounds killer! Can't wait to loop some beats w those sounds!!!

That patch might just have been programmed without due care to the oscillator and mixer levels so may be clipping. If you open it in the editor you’ll be able to play around with the levels and save it with your edits.

The patch I mentioned earlier in the thread is now crackle free with the 2.22 firmware update. Thank you Andras, Gabor & Co. Brilliant work
