The only thing that would have been a big improvement for me would have been a down program footswitch. I can't count the number of times I've been up scrolling, only to have flown by the preset I've been looking for. Of course, it's moot now that I've been using an MC6 Pro, but that is an added expense. Nevertheless, I will likely do the upgrade for the programming and better resolution, etc.

that’s correct - I’ll be sticking with my rehoused V1 which is perfect for my needs.

that said - if they did a hardware revisit, I would definitely be ordering a new one.

You could buy a new one and put it in your current Future Compact housing.

How much added resolution is there on the onboard hardware parameter edit control on v4? The limited non-continuous adjustment range on mine is one of my few issues with the unit. Of course improved tracking is going to be a plus too!

It now covers the whole range of the editor slider. If the editor slider were set in the middle, you’d get full resolution. If the slider was at one extreme, you’d get half resolution (but still covering the slider’s two extremes).

Man - you folks really should at least TRY to check your confirmation bias sometimes. No one is personally insulting your cat. It’s a freaking pedal and it still looks like amateur hour after 9 years when the entire industry has gotten endlessly slicker. Don’t take it so personally

The second clip is properly isolated. The audio is still coming out of the Beat Buddy so not representative of the proper sound quality when recording direct.

Regarding aesthetics, the Future Compact has the size advantage, but to my eye, the visual aesthetic of late 80’s Mattel. Still, if I wanted smaller, I wouldn’t let that stop me.

The biggest flaw this pedal has is that it doesn't come in tort, with flats. Therefore it's useless.

Hmm, tort and white is my favourite combo. I reckon it could be done.

It forces the slaved oscillator to reset its phase at the same time. Creates harmonically rich sounds when the slave oscillator is tuned higher. Even funkier when you sweep the pitch of the slaved oscillator as in this first clip. (The second clip isn’t a sync patch.)
