Good vibes for a speedy, comfortable and full recovery.I’ll post more clips in a few days hopefully. (Just recovering from surgery this morning and in a lot of pain.)
I’ve done the manual now, barring any late extra additions/changes).
Thanks, still agony and rather doped up. Am still pretty wired and could really do with sleeping.Good vibes for a speedy, comfortable and full recovery.
Sleep is a great healer, I slept most of the day after my recent surgery, and reportedly farted a lot. Thanks, still agony and rather doped up. Am still pretty wired and could really do with sleeping.
:-D Hope you’re well on the way to recovering now.Sleep is a great healer, I slept most of the day after my recent surgery, and reportedly farted a lot.![]()
Thanks I am doing well.:-D Hope you’re well on the way to recovering now.
I have several that I plan on using with the V4:Does the CB Out of the V4 send a voltage that corresponds with pitch ? Is it a way to utilize the audio to pitch and tracking capability of the FI V4 and harness the capabilities of an additional synth ? (I think that is what I read anyway)
What are recommendations for synths that have CV IN that will integrate with the V4 ?
It seems as though many of the synths I have looked at Mopho, BassStation and others take their inputs from USB and/or Midi.
Just about anything modular, a fair number of desktop/rack units, anything made by Moog (or their Behringer clones), and a lot of vintage stuff. Not alot of modern keyboard synths take CV, but there are some- part of the reason is that for anything polyphonic you have to have separate CV inputs for each pitch so CV is usually a monophonic synth thing unless you are doing it with modularDoes the CB Out of the V4 send a voltage that corresponds with pitch ? Can't wait to dig in. @Quatschmacher how is your recovery going? Well we hope.Probably tempting fate but I’ve just finished what is, I hope, the final version of the V4.00 manual.
Very cool. Can't wait to try that. Is the red connector behind the model d part of the FI CV cable? This is fun:

Thankfully, I’m over the very worst of the pain. The first day was absolutely horrendous and I nearly passed out from it. It’s been getting a bit better each day. I managed sitting up for a few hours yesterday, though I did too much. I’m being more sensible today. Can't wait to dig in. @Quatschmacher how is your recovery going? Well we hope.
The cable with the little red sleeve is the pitch CV from the FI. The gate cable is hidden and is going into the little red CV splitter box so that the two yellow cables from it can feed the VCF and VCA envelope gate inputs. (Other synths use a shared gate input for both envelopes.)Very cool. Can't wait to try that. Is the red connector behind the model d part of the FI CV cable?
If you're still on the post-surgery pain meds, you might want to have someone do a really close reading before you post it.Probably tempting fate but I’ve just finished what is, I hope, the final version of the V4.00 manual.
Just on paracetamol so don’t think it’s going to addle my brain like the anaesthetic did. They didn’t prescribe any good stuff. If you're still on the post-surgery pain meds, you might want to have someone do a really close reading before you post it.
Glad to hear the pain's going down, but yikes!
Dang that is tempting! Curious how you find the tracking via CV? Does it still follow the Future Impact method of triggering the gate of the note first then the pitch-tracking shortly after? This is fun:
