As someone who has a V3. I have always found it difficult to use this pedal live unless I commit to just a few patches, one or two for the night. Getting from 56 to 45 is to cumbersome. Reordering preset for an ever changing set list is tough.

I’m sorry I haven’t kept up with the new revisions but does it allow for a more user friendly midi peripheral that is more accommodating?

Reordering is prettying easy in advance of the gig using the manager. You can have different whole-pedal setups for each gig if needed and simply load one of those in before each gig.

Patch selection is very straightforward if using an external MIDI controller as you can program specific patch numbers, or have commands for patch up/down and bank up/down. So going from 56 to 45 would be two button presses at most.

thanks for that. I’m going to have to look into a nice midi controller. I play with 3 groups, one of them doesn’t use set lists the other hands them out at gigs and it’s a rough outline. So I’ve never had luck going into the editor before a gig.

I’d recommend Mortrix (obviously biased as there’s a lot of my work in there) or the Morningstar stuff (which I’ve also had a fair bit of input into).

On what platform? If on windows, like other programs, only one simultaneous USB MIDI connection is possible, so if you already have a USB MIDI connection open (in a DAW for example) then the editor will not launch. It’s always been this way.
