Chemotherapy is like pregnancy, when people find out, they are compelled to offer unsolicited tales of their own experiences, often horrific. Remember that no one’s experience is a predictor of what yours will be. Also remember that it will end, and you will make it through. Your thoughts matter. Talk to your body, visualize your outcome. Hang in there

Thanks, folks.

Though the treatment was described to me as “chemo”, doing some further reading it looks like it’s actually something different (a form of immunotherapy using the BCG vaccine in a certain way), so hopefully fewer nasty side effects.

FYI. I figured out a workaround for this issue before my last gig: Leave the FI on (engaged via its footswitch) and send cc 7 output volume messages to mute/unmute the FI instead of the cc 66 messages to "turn on/off" that don't work in SPLIT mode.

Hello, just read the new V4 manual. Is there really no way for V3 FI users to update to the V4 software? Or will there be a way to in the future like I believe the manual is hinting?

Also, thank you to all you folks in this thread who helped shape the FI the way it is today.

Thanks for taking the time to read my work.

The manual is categorically not hinting that v3 users will be able to update to V4 as that is and always will be physically impossible.

What I was referring to about room for future development is the resources of the new pedal being able to allow the V4 platform to be developed further (similar to how v1-3 was developed over about 6 six before reaching its current form).

Hmm, I know there are stated gains, but I’m a bit curious, how quantifiable are they. Like is the tracking 2ms faster, few dbs lower distortion…. It doesn’t really matter to me as I’ve already ordered, I’m just a bit curious.
