I'm not an expert, but I really appreciate not having to carry a heavy amp. I like Markbass and Phil Jones.
Take a look at the new Genzler amps I have the MG800 and its great! They have their new smaller one too, showed it with a 10 line array I think that's their answer to a combo amp

Sadly, the time has come to part with one of my 'keepers'. I've held on to this guy longer than any other fiver (and I've had a few) because its just so good. Unfortunately with my hand issues it is not being played and this bass should be someone's #1 and not sitting in its case in a closet.

a new year's resolution up in smoke...
was supposed to refrain from any bass-buying this year and finish up my current and soon-to-be-current builds.
then, back-to-back, two gould's happened upon the classifieds that i couldn't say 'no' to.
i previously sold the one on the left ('bullseye') to @afellini last year. regretted the sale but funds were bled dry when my car decided it needed attention. as luck would have it, 'bullseye' found his way home.
@Blues Infidel made his gould available recently and i had to pounce. i remember this bass from years ago but couldn't purchase it then. started off in andy west's collection. 'kayleigh' also has a new home.
i think i'm gonna have to start driving for uber or lyft to help pay for geoff's builds!

your concern is duly noted! i'm done-zo tho from buying anymore. would only break this pledge if one of your older maple-neck builds happens upon the market that has an uniqueness to it.
i remember one particular build of yours years ago that ended up on evilbay from a seller in santa cruz. it had a walnut back with a purpleheart top. must've weighed a ton!
but if something like that pops up, i can't be held responsible for my actions on my piggy bank!
Took me a very long time to finally let it go, but very pleased it's gone to someone who appreciates it. It's a very special bass.
im looking online at a couple of these Gould 4 strings and I can't seem to find much info on the neck profiles. Anyone know what the nut widths are on the ggi4 basses?

or give @GeoffGould a pm. if not too busy, he should be able to answer a question or two.
