I have thought about buying that bass for awhile now. Glad I didn't after seeing these pictures and learning the neck is bad.

Some may see it as "naturally reliced", but truss rod and action are deal breakers.
Clarify?
Id have to see it. I’ve never seen one of my necks “twisted.” I suspect some surgery would fix things. It sure looks beat up!
It could have been a language issue. I believe they disclaimed that they used a web translator in the message to me. But the pictures did not look promising. Perhaps what they were communicating was that the neck was bowed and the TR maxed. Not ideal but a more workable solution, though I would imagine the wood fingerboards are epoxied on to the neck, rendering a heat press way less effective?
In any case you'd need to have some work being done, that's be 300 USD in shipping only (back and forth), surgery and stuff...you have gone beyond a used one would cost

It was originally sold from The Bass Place. It's a nice one!I believe it's #1237, it was sold on the used market - hoping someone here might have it!
Here are the pictures they sent me. This thing is beat up from the feet up. Looks like it has a lot of residual grime from tobacco smoke as well. Save for the big chips on the horn and headstock, none of this showed up in the 4 shots of the bass that are featured on the listing. Most of their listings are that way so if you are buying from this seller, request lots of pictures!

Ok I went to the store to play that one. It is surely well beaten with chips and scuff (as the pictures), the pot are noisy and the jack has probably faulty connections. That being said the neck looked ok to me and action set up was kinda ok, very playable though there is a bit of fret buzz. Did not inquire about wether the truss condition (not super friendly staff)
So probably needs a bit of work and adjustment and you would have to live with that finish and nicks. Still think for the condition it's a bit overprice (maybe you can do an offer to them)
I have the 5’er with the Cocobola top
Agreed, maxed out truss rod and neck repair is not cheap
