I completely lucked out and bought Mr. Circle's minty JB-2 for just under $700 - and it is completely tricked out with binding, gun oil tint neck finishing, maple fingerboard with no position markers, and even some birdseye in the neck. That's a friggin' steal for an instrument of this quality...and I've seen several JB-2's for that price right here on TB over the past 9 months.

I'm hangin' on to my '82 L-1000 and purple SB-1, though. I like the beefier necks, personally. Can't say enough good things about G&L quality, craftsmanship and tone.
