If I wasn't holding my fretless in my lap as we speak (reading TB instead of practicing...), I'd be checkin' the closet to make sure you didn't swipe it.

Maybe a 5 string bridge would cover it.
Hey guys, I found a used USA G&L SB-1 around here for just $450, but the pickup isn't original. Is there any way to get a hold of a G&L split coil pickup? I've played the bass, and it's awesome, but I'd like to see if I could get a G&L pickup easily before I pounce on it.
G&L sells them.

I'm pretty sure that's for their guitars. I don't see any bass split coils.
Ah. I suppose I should get in on that bass while I still can, then. Aside from the non-original pickup, everything about it seemed just right, aside from a scratch in the finish on the back. I think it had an ash body, with what the tag said was a "vintage sunburst," but seemed more like a cherry sunburst to me, and a maple P-width neck with rosewood fingerboard.
