thats nice, i usually dont like black basses, that one is sweet ! one more pic of mine, someone wanted to see a cherry burst with matching headstock.

Thanks! Strangely, on that picture, the headstock doesn't look like it actually matches body color.

Usually I'm not a big fan of painted necks either, but on this one it just seems right (to me at least). I know this stealth look is not for everyone, and that's actually one of the reasons why I like it

Hey guys,maybe someone could help me out? I want to do a K mod to my L-2000. I want the one where there is a third position added to the pickup switch to get the outer single coil jazz bass on steroids sound. I cannot find anyone that will do it. I contacted Dan at Rocket Music, where I heard a couple guys on the forum here had theirs done. And this is what he said.

I don't have the diagram or info on the G&L K wiring, and I don't know
where to find it.
If you can find the info, I can probably do it unless there's some part
like a pc board that I can't get.

I just don't know anything about it, so you'd have to locate or supply
the info.
I know we've had G&L Basses with it, but that's all I know.

I have all the info you need pm me with your email and I'll send it all to you.
The most expensive part is the on/on/on 4 pole switch. I had my 2500 done at the G&L dealer in Green Bay wi about 35 mile from me. cost me less then $100 I have the single soil outers/full humbucker/ single coil inners mod. the info I have gives all the config's you could ever want and pictures.

Just bought this 2010 ASAT Fretless from a fellow TB'er....going to give fretless another go.
This one looks like a beauty!! Will take more pics when it arrives...and will then take some long over due "beauty shots" of my L-2000 Buterscotch blonde with the birdseye fretboard finally to share as well

I have 3 basses right now, but if I could find a G&L2500 with a maple fretboard fretless I might just morgage the farm and try fretless again! oh they are
A Carvin AC50( which i would trade for the G&L above) a Michael Kelly club custom, and MY G&L2500 with the Kmod (SC outer/full/SC inner)
