I'm becoming convinced that only 10% of the folks on TB actually have a clue, and only 4% of them know how to articulate that clue into a reasonable statement (regardless of whether that statement is contradictory or not).
If you understood that, I guess you're part of the elite 4%.

FWIW, I've yet to play a wood that I didn't like. I've played basses that sounded crappy because of poor setups, or sucky electronics but never a bass that sounded crappy because of the type of wood. Although I have played basses that just didn't resonate or sound good, it wasn't the type of wood, it was just that particular piece of wood or the combination of neck and body wood that didn't work well together.
I read the article. So..... what about the bass? Its new, its different, its got plek. Or did i miss the article!?
