+1 on this. Getting the right pickup height with those mfd's is crucial to getting a good sound. When I hammer away like thunder fingers, that mfd gots ta be low enough to avoid clipping the pole pieces or you'll be hearing more crinkle than snarl or growl. Btw, thanks for the compliment PJRL, you should grab an SB1 for yourself. Happy Chanukah! :hyper:
 
Well, I have a custom order in, probably arrive in feb by the sounds of it!
ASAT, shoreline gold, ash body, rosewood board, bound neck, 1/4 sawn and light tint satin with gloss head stock!

Quite excited, never had a custom instrument before!
