I recently bought this L2000,i do not know the year, but it seems to be the earlys.
What can you guys say about it?
Payed $600
I was watching that on eBay but not willing to take a chance on it. Let us know what kind of shape it's in. It looks like a 1983.

Just an M2000 with "single coils".
A G&L Alnico Bi-coil pickup looks just like a classic Alnico single-coil, but under the cover are two side-by-side coils, configured in series-humbucking mode. The new pickups are optimized for a specially tuned version of G&Ls studio-quality M-spec preamp and control system, dubbed MJ-spec.

... it actually looks like an M-2000 with single coils, and this is, I think, intentional.![]()
may i ask you why you didn't take a chance?
Just when I had a handle on my GAS....

Noticed the "...powered by twin 9v batteries housed in an easy-access compartment". Compared to the '2-screws on a plastic board' design, I am curious to see it.
