I just found this old picture from '95 of the one bass I regret selling, an '82 L1000 that I bought new. I miss that thing.

GEEZ! that '96 has a tree-trunk for a neck. and it's funny you post that side-by-side pic of the tookay and sabre. if you go to the guitarsbyleo forum, then gallery, then ad slicks and memorabilia then 80-81, then the '80 catalog there's a pic of the original tookay with pickup spacing much closer to the sabre than the '81-current tookays.
GEEZ! that '96 has a tree-trunk for a neck...
It's more comfortable that it looks, it's a 1.65 nut. The '84 is nice and thin and makes the other one look more chunky.
i know what you mean. i've got an '81 L1K and the neck is wide and thin.
L1000 heads up;
not mine

1. Is the tribute L2K's neck too chunky?
2. Is the jb2 tribute neck slimmer than L2K tribute?
3. Is there any issues of jb2 tribute and L2K?

Ya. You'd think. Not an easy task.
Was looking for others opinions. Maybe it's not that important if I'm happy with mine. I saw a beautiful USA for 700 bucks in my area. Dont wanna waste the guys time unless there are noteable differances.
