Here is what my sonic blue SB2 looks like. I love it!

Love it! Is that ebony fretboard, mint PG?

Anybody have a good comparison in tone difference between a L1500 and L2000? I had a L-2000 a few years ago and trying to trade my spector for one but i'm also looking at a 1500 at the moment.

The L-1500 pickup is in the Stingray position so that's the basic tone you get but the preamp is different. Most people say the G&L is brighter and more aggressive than a Stingray.

The L-2000 is essentially a P-J with humbuckers so it's closer to a Spector tone-wise than the 1500.

Well my new LB-100 was short lived. There was a setup issue and my local dealer says there is a hump in the fretboard. So I'm waiting on a call tag to send it back. Most likely it will wind up with a new neck. I'm bummed that after 4 months I still have to wait to get a properly playable bass.

Whew guys... in a brief fit of insanity I almost sold my cherry hog/maple 1980 L1000. I pulled the ad when I came to my senses and thank goodness. That bass through my new Mesa M6/Berg CN212 rig sounds great!

How did it get a hump? I'm guessing it didn't leave the factory with a hump. A couple twists of the truss rod couldn't fix it?

Has anyone replaced their L2500 pickups with M2500 pickups?

I've been thinking about it since the first rumors of the M2500 came out. I love my fretless L2500, but I end up EQing it a lot at the amp and would love to put in the M2500 pickups with a good variable-mid preamp.
