G&L Club Part 7

G&L may have called it that too, dunno. G&L had some rare finishes on their menu for brief periods during the 90's.

Ever see a "Goldburst", like this Climax? I've never seen this finish on another G&L instrument.

that
that yours too, templar? would love to see your closet.....

That's Cherryburst.

Nope, not Cherryburst either. As you know, Cherryburst is distinctly red around the edges (like your avatar). This SB-1 has zero red in it, when seen in person.

Compare this '98 Cherryburst L2K with the SB-1 pic. Not the same finish at all.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share my newest acquisition. Got it a while ago, but had to do some fixing up.

Happy to say the bass plays and sounds great. I now have GAS for a few more L2Ks!

This one was apparently owned by a guy named "Thunderthumbs" so thats what I call it.

They did do a Black Ice series.
Just about the time I decided I was going to be smart and only buy used I saw an M2500 Black Ice with maple neck -- January of last year of so --
and my resolve and strategy was overwhelmed by impulse in just a few hours.

Not that I'm sorry in any way that I did that.
That ash is relatively light weight as well -- mine's 9 1/4 lbs very comfortable

Played the LB-100 with flats last night. Its just crazy good. Man I want one in a 5 string now. The ONLY reason Id sell mine. I'd have to hear the B string reviews first though. The L-2500 B string I tried was pretty meh.[/QUOTE]

I'd bet it was a string or setup issue. I just picked up a Tribute L25K and the B is as gargantuan and destructive as all the other strings.
