LB-100 UPDATE

Still love it... I want a LB-105 so badly. I play 5s exclusively to I only get to play this when I want to "have fun" and that means when I have free time which isn't often. When I take it out of the case, its by far the most exciting. Its just pick up n play & sounds great
I originally wanted a MJ-5 but after my experience with non-SC jazz basses I just couldnt do it, especially since the MIA J standard V just works for me. I can't do the spacing on a MIA P fiver so the LB-105 is an object of my dreams. I would TOTALLY pimp it out this time too
My LB-100 has been excellent though, the non-1/4sawn neck has been DEAD straight with no adjustments so the extra wood covering the truss rod hasn't been an issue. For a four banger, I wouldn't think people NEED the 1/4sawn.
Great bass, come on LB-105. Lets go. Leave it passive unlike the MJ-5 & we can ROLL baby ROLL with P goodness

I too would love a passive P 5 and love the LB100. A five would be most excellent
I have purchased a new LB100 and M2000 in the past two weeks ..... The MJ5 is the next G&L bass I am interested in getting info on. That would be my next move for sure.
There are a few out there, as you see in the link to BassesByLeo and as you can see in my avatar, a hog El Toro in Olympic White. My understanding is that there were relatively few white on hog instruments made back then because they had trouble getting the paint to properly adhere to the wood. Mahogany isn't a naturally oily wood, so it's unclear why they had the problem. If you can find a white one with no chips, you're doing well.

Even if they took the MJ5 or L2500 production body out and slapped in a passive p or pj pick up set on there, i'd totally spend money on those. Add an option for a pick guard and i'd take out a loan today.

My dream bass (that I intend to build with my L2500 Tribby one day) is an L2500 but where the last position of the active-passive switch instead of giving you just a straight high boost, flips over to a 3 band EQ! Too cool for words. drool (unless of course if you hate knobosity)
Hey JB USA owners. Have any of you experimented with anything other than the shipped strings?
If so, what has impressed you the most?
I've tried quite a few with the 3 I've owned and it seems like the stock always sounded the best. They even beat out my beloved Chromes.
Just curious if any others had the same experience or is there something i missed. Thanks
