G&L Club Part 7

Andertons in the UK have got a bunch of these on clearance. They were listed at £100 off last week and I was wondering whether to take the plunge but my mind was made up when the knocked off another £20 at the weekend.
First impressions are very positive, the set up is good straight out the box and it sounds great through my little Roland Cube practice amp. Have to say it seems like a lot of bass for the money.

Does that have a 1.5" (38 mm) nut width?

Let's just have a quick rummage through the archives.....

This was done for a TB member, it says, so hold your tongue please

Not my thing, but you do you, boo! :smug:

In all seriousness, I don't judge, so if you or anyone else likes them, that's great. I'm also adverse to tort and lake placid blue, but I realize those can be pretty polarizing opinions too. But hey, that's why they make basses in tons of colors and options, so we can all get what we want. :hyper:

I know what you are trying to say, it has incredible output. Very true! Rivals my Active Bass
I find the tone with the stock strings to clear, articulate and piano like. Love this bass
We all hear it differently.
I find the tone not very clear at all as compared to my 72' P or 2018 Sandberg.
More raspy and troubled.
Agree the output is very hot!
