... On my M-2500 (see my post a few days ago), I managed to install a separate switch for each pickup (from a project by Torbass and Greg at Rocket Music).

The switches (on-on-on 4PDT, one for each pickup) are for: series - inner single coil - outer single coil.

Has anyone added a second pickup to a Kiloton? Say a second humbucker or the MFD split coil?

I've really been impressed by my new L-1000, so it's leading me to consider a second G&L ...

Thoughts on the LB-100? It seems that the pickup on the LB would be a bit further removed, tonally, from the 1000, compared to the SB-1. I'm assuming here that the MFD pickup on the SB-1 is going to be 'closer' to the MFD pickup on the 1000.

I have an LB 100. It is a really great P.

My favorite of all my basses, including an Alembic Epic V and a Fodera Emperor Standard Classic V, is my G&L SB2-T. It's like Leo made it just form me.

I've also thought about adjusting the polepieces on an MFD humbucker to produce a split-coil pattern, but I've never tried it. It would be a cool experiment on an L-2000's neck pickup or an L-1000. On my L-1500, I think I did lower the poles toward the bridge to emphasize the other coil for a thicker tone, but it was a long time ago so I'm not sure.

I think I remember @dedpool1052 doing something like this.

1) Does G&L still offer a US made version? I don't see it on the website but I see new ones being posted on their Instagram account

2) What are the components for the stock tone control on the SB-2T?

go to the website, made in Fullerton basses, then to option order basses. There's a page 2 button that's kind of hard to see, and page 2 just has the SB-1 and SB-2.

I ordered one in October 2021, and sounds like I still have maybe 2 months or so before it will be ready. So they'd better still be making them…

Fullerton deluxe - you get what you get with only a couple of color options.
CLF Research - you get what you get with a few color options with a different headstock and shiny chrome to make it look old.
Option order - you get what you want from a list of available colors and options.
Custom Shop - you get what you're willing to pay for.

You cannot order direct from G&L.

I think I remember @dedpool1052 doing something like this.

Is there any benefit to the adjustable pole pieces other than fine tuning string-to-string output balance? Can they be adjusted to emphasize a particular coil set or voicing? For instance, raise the front and lower the back (or vice versa) to emphasize the front coil over the rear? Or raise & lower the appropriate sets to give a more spilt coil P bass sound?

Yes and no.

This can be done, but it goes a bit beyond raising these poles, and lowering those ones.
The most noticeable effect I've gotten with this, was removing the specific pole pieces, to achieve the desired tonal goal.
Also, I would lower the whole pickup, while raising the remaining pole pieces.
With this, I could "kinda/sorta" get a P/J, reverse P/J, dual P, dual reverse P tones.

While this approach does put emphasis on certain strings at certain locations, such as a P, it doesn't ever really sound like a P.
You catch some of that vibe, but never really hit it.

MFD vs. Alnico. I have to admit, the MFD bass pickups have ruined me for any other bass pickup. Deep. Rich. Full. Articulate.
