I was pricing it out and after you get all the parts together a complete tribute is a better deal.

I know why they have to do it, but bleeping out certain words is pretty funny.I think here it is: the Pancho Tomaselli Signature Jazz with Dual MFD Jazz PUs

Thanks again @ProbablyTooLoudMan you're welcome, I'm really glad to hear that!
I wasn't joking about how much I love these.
I'm glad you got yours to where you like it.
I hope it performs to expectations on Saturday!
LOWENDLOBSTER's 2022 TOP THREE BEST BASSES - G&L KILOTON (TRIBUTE) FRETLESS is number 3
WORST BASSES - G&L PLACENTIA JB is the winner!!!
That is exciting! I'd be tempted to trade my JB for it. They sound really noiseless, too. I also love how Pancho always mentions how much you can change your tone with your fingers. In this video he said compression is in your fingers, in another video I heard him say your tone is in your fingers. So simple, but so true.I think here it is: the Pancho Tomaselli Signature Jazz with Dual MFD Jazz PUs

Getting into the FSR models for GC and others first calling them Tributes even when they differed from the standard Tribute models and now the Placentia to separate the two seems to me to be a poor business decision on G&L's part. But if one of you top profit centers is your imports I guess you find ways to import even more of them and sell them at even lower costs. Despite that I still believe it's a mistake to simply offer what are mainly lower costs Tributes.
Trying to achieve these *excellent* tones demonstrated here by Rasmus Todbjerg.
His bridge pickup appears to be higher than his neck's.
However, with my bridge at 6 mm, neck at 8 mm (bass side), instead of warming/compressing nicely if raised nearer to 3 mm, my tone saturates with mids (tone and vol full up, passive).
Thanks again @ProbablyTooLoud
Left the Fender at home and took the JB with raised pups.
It say really well in the mix (guitar, keys, drums, sax, and sometimes acoustic guitar) and sounded great.
The midrange did have a bit too much "honk" but pretty sure this can be adjusted out with height adjustment.
All in all, a great night.
Plus 7.5 lbs empress with CAR metallic, RW board with white blocks, and painted headstock!

Is there an upcharge for a decent box?
the bass arrived without scratches
I think it's just confusing. Why make this and the Tribute JB for roughly the same price? Especially since the Placentia is not great quality
