Just kidding… Greg discovered an issue with the truss rod, so gotta wait all over again! I'm just glad he caught it before it came to me.
Exactly more open and less overall signal shunted to ground, the tone pot remains at 250, next I have a reverse log 1meg for a PTB circuit (passive treble bass)
I'd be happy to snap a truss rod nut for you, too!
What a bummer for @Lammchop93, but we'll get it sorted.
Does that mean that I can say out loud — is that light toned fretboard really Indian Rosewood and not Chechen? Blimey.

I think it just looks pale because it's so dry. I almost hit it with some fretboard conditioner, but I was installing a set of the new La Bella Olinto flats for @Lammchop93 and I didn't want to kill them.
Tribute L2500 came in today. Everything works great. The finish ding on the back is a tiny indent in the clear coat that I can only see if I hold it under light at the right angle. I am calling this one a win.
My Tribute L-2000 has a Brazilian cherry fretboard, it's a bit lighter than rosewood. Could that be it?
Looks like G&L got their link changed. I was going to send a link to a Builders Choice honeyburst Kiloton on their website. It actually was a tobacco burst L2000. Whilst I was typing the message, G&L actually got the link in their store changed to the right bass. Talk about timing!

Here's my rig from last night. The Empress USA Kiloton 5 is the most comfortable bass to play I've owned. Light weight, good balance, and the neck carve is just perfect. Even with a 34" scale it has a solid B string that is well matched with E string and the high G string sounds full and not anemic. The MFD pickup has a solid punch and focus but the extra fullness and rich tone the BigRig adds puts it over the top for me. Such a sweet bass to play.

My '88 SB-1 is now sporting LaBella 760FM. Huge strings with tons of fundamental and great string to string tonal balance out of the package.
