G&L Club Part 7

I've already contacted G&L, both through social media, and with the contact form on their website, but nobody is answering.

If anybody have direct contact information to somebody at G&L, maybe you could share it with me through a PM or something?

I am aware that G&L sells necks and other parts from time to time, so I'll be watching their site in case anything appears there. I do have an address in New Jersey that I use for buying stuff from the US, for instance bass equipment from Talkbass. ;) If G&L put a B-stock neck out for sale, I think we'll be able to solve the shipping.

But, a neck from a different brand bass, does anybody know if there are any necks from other basses that will fit the G&L without too much work? Mainly if there are any necks with roughly the same size and shape heel, and the same amount of frets?

In that case a US dealer may be able to help IF there's even a clearance neck available that would work. But I would still suggest contacting Memo to see if there's anything G&L might be able to come up with to help.

I know of no other necks that are drop in fits for G&L Tributes. So again I would suggest either calling or addressing any inquiry to Memo in the repair dept. I believe his full name is Memo Romero. Someone will correct me on that if I'm wrong. Another option would be to contact a US dealer to see if they might help.

As I haven't done this yet, here are my three Fullertons. From left to right, JB MFD, BTO L-2000, JB. The JB in vintage white now has SD Heavy Weather pickups and a John East J-Retro 01 Preamp, and a Hipshot Bass Xtender. I was playing it the most before I got the JB MFD. The JBs are getting the most time for now, but the mighty L2K lurks in the background, biding it's time until it's called upon again. Each of these are pretty darned versatile. I love playing them all.

They do have different necks/heels.
MIJ Tributes have a 4 screw neck plate, Indonesian Tributes have a 6 bolt neck heel just like the Fullerton version.
MIJ Tributes also have a 7.25" vintage radius compared to Indonesian's 12".

I'm curious if anyone in here has had this happen. I strung a Tribby SB-2 with Ernie Ball cobalt flats, and a few months later the A string started buzzing along with a noticeable drop in volume. I changed the A to an A from a set of Fender 50s that I had laying around, and the buzz was gone and it sounded like it should. I'm just wondering if this is a common fault in these EB strings. There's nothing wrong with the bass as far as I can tell, the nut looks fine and so does the bridge.

Different strokes for different folks. If I'm ever in the market for a woodworker I guess I'm gonna look elsewhere. :D Just kidding.

Seriously though, I get its not for everyone. I personally love block inlays, especially matching inlays like this.

The Aguilar double P config is absolutely huge sounding. Big, full, punchy and somewhat vintage. Really nice combo.
