There are plenty of other guitar shops all over the place in Seattle. I'd just take a day and visit a bunch of them, but make sure to check out the ones I listed above.

Also, check out the EMP museum! They have a Nirvana exhibit with some instruments they used, basses even.

The EMP museum also has a guitar and bass display with vintage instruments (like some of the first electric basses, for example), and then upstairs there is a music room that has drums, bass, guitar, etc. with little rooms to record songs in. It's pretty neat. Great for kids or adults really.

Seattle is a cool town. I love it here.

I'm in with this Beast of a Bass right here... my first G&L, a Honeyburst USA L2K. Really nice player... good tone, great bass!

The 'L2x00 Custom' that were produced in the mid-90's had no arm contour (likely because it was not technically compatible with the body binding, at the time).

It's what I've read. The 'L2x00 Custom' also had a book-matched swamp ash top over an alder body. I guess bending the top ash ply for the arm contour may also have been a issue (or an additional cost) at the time. Let me say that when playing my L2500 or my ASAT Bass, I pay no attention to the body squared edge, having no arm contour doesn't bother me at all.

There used to be Bass Northwest, but they closed a while back. I'm in Seattle as well and I've ordered a few basses from @RocketMusic in Virginia. Being a lefty, I don't get to try before I buy, but my dealings with Greg have been great. I highly recommend him.

I have dealt with Greg at Rocket Music in getting my LB-100, and it was a fantastic transaction, I do highly recommend him myself.
I was just wondering if we had another fantastic dealer on the west coast.

It just makes more sense to me to send the bass up the coast to me on Vancouver Island, instead of riccochetting back and forth across both coasts and countries.
And, it gives me a dealer which I might drop in on, from time to time.

It was started by a guy named Chad Beeler Who had worked a number of years at BassNW. When they went out, Chad bought up a good bit of their stock. He's got a few G&L basses in stock right now.
