Have you tried using micro-tilt adjustment?I just got a new L-1000 and put on some Dunlop flatwound string (.045 to .105). I was working on adjusting the neck relief like my other basses which are between 0.007 and .012 at the 8th fret when putting a capo on the first fret and fretting the string at the last fret. On the L-1000, the relief was something on the order of .035 when I started and I have gotten it down to approx. 0.018 but cannot seem to get it down further with more adjustment of the truss rod. Am I missing something here? I cannot believe that the Dunlop strings have so much tension that the truss rod cannot get the relief lower.
