Actually, the LB is based on the older L2k body, which is the same as the current one but with a shallower curve at the belly. It's a bit smaller than an actual P bass, maintaining the upper fret access that the Ls give you.

The only mod was the Barts in the MJ4. I didn't like the exposed pole pieces in the original pickups and I also found them a little to bright for my liking. Other than that they are stock.

USA models now have football jacks instead of the old barrel jacks.
