Anyone know where to get the black, red, and white toggle switch covers that came on early L2000s? I'm missing one of each color (among 3 basses). Thanks!

Finding the switches from the old models is a tough one. It's too bad the G&L guys don't support parts for the older models. If they did though, I bet they'd be swamped with 3-bolt neck replacement orders.
I did a quick search and found this place in the UK, but they're selling individual colors in packs of ten:

Use the words 'mini toggle switch TIP' and you'll find some on ebay like this:

or individual switches with a removable tip at:

And I see now why the early L2000 headstock was a court case.
There are two 3-bolt maple necks on ebay for early SB-1 (1985) and SB-2 (1983) if someone is interested (at 'gibsondependable)' + bridges, neck plates, nickel tuners, etc...

I thought the SB-2's were a P/J config on the pickups? Those look like two jazz pickups.
Later models were Pj with a pickguard.
Early were with 2 of the sc mfds. Like the ElToro.
Interesting. I wonder why companies bring back older model names with different configurations. Why wouldn't they just issue a new model number. I feel like Musicman has done the same with their re-issues. The Sabre comes to mind, re-issued but nothing like the 70's models. Thanks for the info!
Thanks! Those early L-2000 Series E sound fantastic. I've modded the blue one (since it's a refin anyway) to have a wide variety of tonal options: parallel (stock), single coil, series, and series with OMG mode (stock). It has so many good tones... It's one of my all time favorite basses.
