G&L Club Part 7

it and sit on the money burning a hole in my ass while waiting for a 2nd hand American to
show up (not very good at that), unless I find a very rare bird who'll hold one until I sell, which don't seem
likely!

In my experience... Once you're ready to buy a piece of bass gear... a ball is set in motion, and it won't stop rolling until you buy what you want. That being said, a few of us have started a discussion on the ins and outs of modern day shopping... how to do it right the first time.

Seems silly, but like you, I was in a place where I wanted specific gear and could not afford it. So, I spent about $24k over 15 years, and I hated my tone the whole time, so that I could avoid buying the $5k worth of gear that I wanted.

If you know what you want, make it your business to get it. You'll be happy, your ears will be happy, and you'll save a Hell of a lot of time and money.

You're very welcome here by me... If anyone bully's you, let us know! I don't have a Trib, but they're a very successful product, and they'll make G&L money, which keeps them in business, and keeps me happy.

I build my G&L's to get the colors and options that I want, but if I saw a Trib in the store that I wanted, I'c buy it instantly.

Nice. I really really wanted to go American made for a variety of reasons but they are a bit above my pay grade right now. So, the Tribute will definitely scratch the G&L itch for now while I save my pennies and eventually order a custom.

Based on what I've heard live, the Tributes are a killer series for the money.

:vomit: Lol... NJ sucks... I also race off road and shoot, so PA seems better for that... I'm originally from North Jersey, which is WAY better than SJ... but no matter where you are in NJ, the musician pool is very shallow... And good luck finding a G&L! But my buddy has a decent shop about 45 from me with some serious G&L treasures!

Need to find G&L Black hardware of course.
Not sure how I’d be able to get the headstock done without paying a fortune for that, I love this neck though, quartersawn and plek’d is where it’s at!

Oh yeah they shouldn't have even let that bass leave the factory without being blacked out!
