Very clean instrument.
Quartersawn neck. No sign of being bi-cut. So, one-piece maple or glued fingerboard? Puzzled on this one.
I once had a 2004 ASAT Bass with the 3-bolt plate (s/n: #B034xxx, body date: NOV 3, 2004).
(*) - Edit - Oh, I've just come across a picture of my 2004 ASAT bass and I now realize it had the angled tuners too.

It has to be bi-cut, we just can't see the seam in those pics. I just looked closely at my JB-2 from ~2004. Under a bright light, I could barely detect the bi-cut seam, but it's definitely there. I wish it had a glued fret board because it has a frozen truss rod.
Ha, I've had this bass for years, but only just now noticed its tuners are angled.
